You must know what you believe. If you would like to be a soldier, you must know why you fight, what you stand for, and who you represent. There are many vocal skeptics and critics who doubt that God exists, attack the bible or deny key truths of Christianity. The bible tells us that you must be prepared to have an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But we are to do this with gentleness and respect. Think about the Christ as he spoke to people in His day – He did not debate or shout or yell to try to win converts. He was confident and assured in telling about the Truth.
